Marsh-marigold was very common before the general draining of land and had lots of different local names, not just Kingcups. Water-blobs, Pollyblobs and Gollins, to name a few; it was also called Mayflower and brought into the home on May evening for luck. #StoryPlants #WildflowerHour

The pond is full of Kingcups in flower at the moment, making filming difficult as the movement of the plants in the breeze causes many false triggers of the camera.
