Un super-réservoir de magma de 6000 km3 vient d'être découvert à Larderello en Italie. Ce site connu pour sa géothermie ne présentait pourtant aucun réel signe en surface. Comparable à Yellowstone, il s'agit d'un volcan en devenir, sans risque d'éruption pour l'instant.

Het IJsvolume in de Arctische wateren staat op een 'all time low' en zelfs circa 2000 km3 onder de vorige records. En ca 6000 km3 onder de norm 2004-2013. Met het tekort van 6000 km3 ijs kun je heel Nederland bedekken met een plak ijs van 170 meter dik. Vergelijk Euromast 😵 @samcarana.bsky.social

In a new 🧪 study out today in #GRL we show that the Greenland ice sheet lost 2347 km3 of ice since 2010 using CryoSat-2 and ICESat-2.
The satellites agree to within 3%, pretty impressive.

Between 1850 and 2015, glacier area shrunk from 4244 km² to 1806 km² (−57 %) and volume was reduced from about 280 km3 to 100 km3 (−64 %) 📈
Obviously, a lot more has melted since 2015! 🔥
