The main feature on this page of my sketchbook is the bright orange leaf inside of a green square. The other random bits of color are just where I tested what different pencils would look like when blended together.

This is a cat's eye from the side. The eye is a grayish blue-isha green and facing to the right. What is it looking at? No one knows; that's the fun. The cat has orange fur. I saw this in a book about drawing cats and decided to try drawing it. I understood none of the instructions but made something pretty anyway.

Today's doodle is this pufferfish. The 2nd photo is where I got his facial expression. Most of the pencils I've used on this so far can be described as "boring lipstick". I'm trying to challenge myself to use the pencils that I don't normally use.

A sketch of a pufferfish, whose colors can best be described as "boring lipstick". He looks very angry. Why? Because it makes me laugh. Some shades of green can be seen above him because this is a page in my sketchbook. The photo I referenced for his facial expression is at the top of this screenshot. This is on a Google image search. There are a few other photos of puffed up pufferfish on here. They look quite bothered, which makes me laugh for reasons that I don't understand.

The angry pufferfish is done. Tried taking a photo indoors and another in full sunlight. Again, this mostly composed of colors that I don't normally use. The pencil that really surprised me was the neon yellow.

This is a mostly colored pencil drawing of an angry pufferfish. I used a white paint marker to make his white spots more distinct. I went over the eyes and inside of the mouth with a black marker. The rest is all colored pencil though. This photo was taken indoors. The same as the first photo, but in full sunlight. It's obnoxiously bright, a bit painful to look at directly. This is the full page in my sketchbook, which contains the pufferfish, an orange maple leaf, and a bunch of spots where I was just testing different pencils. This is most of the pencils I used on the pufferfish drawing. I misplaced one of the yellows. There are various shades of yellow, blue, and boring lipstick tones. There are also a couple of black fine liners and one white paint marker.
