Heidi Wong's Halloween costume (instagram) is as the Shimmer from the Annihilation movie, with a purse using my novel. Really clever, looks good affixed to the purse.

This is fucking insane.

It reads like a bad spy novel. The corruption is almost cartoonish at this point.

Penguin released not one, but *two* books by Morrissey in their Classics line. One was the memoir excoriated by AA Gill, but the other was his novel List Of The Lost, which was much, much worse.

11 years ago this week, I read it so you don't have to.

*Long sigh*

Yeah it seems like this is exactly what's up, actually. This new "NaNoWriMo" 2.0 is AI all the way.

prowritingaid.com/novel-november

Their website tries *real* hard not to mention AI, but then you catch stuff like, "...ran it through Plot Analysis" and yeah that's kind of a giveaway.

I really like the point made here: Dems should be making a public case right now for novel tactics like defunding Trump's corrupt prosecutions, to make them more intelligible later:
Democrats laying the groundwork for real opposition, with Congress asserting budget authority to stand against Trump abuses and rights violations.

Will have to overcome cries that not passing Trump's budget is irresponsible. But it's the opposite. And starting now makes that hurdle easier to clear.
NEWS --> Dems are planning novel ways to wield power of the purse against Trump's corrupt prosecutions of critics like Ilhan Omar if they win House. Reps Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin tell me a range of aggressive tactics will be deployed.

If you want to set your comic/game/novel/etc. in a specific year, I recommend subtracting ten years from that date and looking at that IKEA catalog.
