I owe my job like $800 in veterinary care and I fucking work there. All I had done was labwork and an ultrasound. People be like "veterinary care is too expensive" as if the people working it 1. can afford it and 2. don't already know it.

I already have the dentist appointment scheduled for the afternoon and I've got labwork I gotta do in the morning, it'll be fine

HPLC shows purity; mass spectrometry shows identity. On a CoA, the observed mass (ESI or MALDI) should match the theoretical mass of the sequence within the instrument's tolerance.

Yep, this was without being charged for a whole bunch of shit, a 75% discount on labwork, and a 50% discount on regular services. I can't "wait" till my pets need more major medical care than this 🥲 and again, i WORK there.

CoA red flags: no lot number, the same CoA for every lot, a purity number with no chromatogram, no mass spectrum, an observed mass that doesn't fit the sequence, or a lab you can't identify or contact.

We only show a purity figure where a lab report on our own lot backs it, and that report goes on the product page. No figure means no report yet.

Purity isn't peptide content. A lyophilized powder also holds counter-ions (acetate or TFA) and some water, so the net peptide content by weight is lower than the HPLC purity figure. For exact quantities, content is the number to use.

HPLC purity is the main peak's share of total peak area, usually read at 214 or 220 nm. A trustworthy CoA attaches the chromatogram itself, not just the percentage.

A certificate of analysis reports on one specific lot. The first thing to check: the lot number on the CoA matches the lot on your vial. A CoA without a lot number can't be tied to what you received.

Solubility follows charge. Basic sequences (Lys, Arg, His) usually dissolve in water or dilute acetic acid; acidic ones (Asp, Glu) in water or dilute ammonium bicarbonate; hydrophobic ones need a little DMSO first. Test a small…

Solutions are much less stable than dry powder. Split a stock solution into single-use aliquots and freeze them, so each aliquot is thawed only once. Repeated freezing and thawing degrades peptides.

Some residues need extra care. Cysteine, methionine and tryptophan oxidize in air; asparagine and glutamine can deamidate in solution. For those sequences, minimize air exposure and make solutions shortly before use.

Three rules for storing lyophilized peptides: cold (−20 °C or below for anything longer than a few weeks), dark (especially for tryptophan-containing sequences) and dry (keep vials sealed).

Let a cold vial reach room temperature, ideally in a desiccator, before you open it. Opening it cold lets moisture from the air condense on the powder, and lyophilized peptides absorb water readily.

Broke down and started crying while getting labwork done and they treated it like an emergency. People taking my vitals, asking paramedic type questions, bringing me water, offering chocolate. So good to be treated nice when I'm going through a lot, but didn't realize it was a chocolate level cry!

Lyophilized means freeze-dried: water is removed under vacuum at low temperature, leaving a dry powder. A dry peptide is far more stable than the same peptide in solution, which is why research peptides ship this way.

A CAS Registry Number is a unique ID for one chemical substance. BPC-157 is 137525-51-0. It's the quickest way to check that two listings describe the same compound. Our reference table lists every CAS we carry.

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys bound to a copper(II) ion. That's why its formula includes Cu, and why the lyophilized powder is blue instead of white.
