A portrait of the legendary ballerina Anna Pavlova, taken by James Lafayette in her garden at her London home, in August 1927 with her cherished swan, Jack.

A global ballet pioneer, Anna performed The Dying Swan over 4,000 times.

These portraits of Cecil Beaton were taken in our Bond Street studio by James Lafayette, the official royal photographer of his time.

Lafayette’s opulent style left a lasting mark on the young Beaton, who would later inherit both his title & his theatrical flair.

Marconi established a wireless transmitting station at Rosslare Strand, Co. Wexford and begun a regular transatlantic radiotelegraph service between Clifden, Co. Galway and Glace Bay in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Between January 1924 and December 1925, 1,458,802 animals were exported through the Port of Dublin, cementing the Dublin Metropolitan Cattle Market as the largest cattle market in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

This portrait of Ivan Pavlov was taken at our Bond Street studio during a visit to Britain in the early 1900's. Pavlov’s work with dogs laid the foundation for behavioural psychology. Another image showing the setup that gave rise to the term “Pavlovian conditioning.”

Mrs Patrick Campbell or Mrs Pat, was an English stage actress, best known for appearing in plays by Shakespeare, Shaw and Barrie. Including Pygmalion where she originated the role of Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle in 1914.
