Big AG is destroying entire ecosystems. Crop plants engineered to resist pesticides and herbicides are even destroying traditional crop landraces. This direction in genetics should have been banned years ago.

This isn’t accurate. Corn had already been bred by indigenous groups for thousands of years before Europeans came.

Modern sweetcorn was bred to be sweeter, but Europeans aren't solely responsible for turning nutritious corn into “pale yellow sugar."

Also, seed?

Collect your own seed. Stop buying it.

Make landraces that can survive climate change.

There's more studying for you.

More people need to learn about landraces which is the term for domestic animals that come from an area and are similar. They aren’t formally bred and don’t have papers but they are a recognizable thing.

Most cats aren’t landraces either, they are cats.
