Flood Warning for Whitwell, Wroxall, Langbridge, Alverstone on the Eastern Yar
High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Thursday.
Flooding is expected on 19 February 2026 from 04:00, as 35mm of rain has fallen over the last 24 hrs.
Flooding will affect the road, a small number of properties in Alverstone and Langbridge, and restrict access to Horringford, Golf links road, and footpaths. Garden flooding is expected at Whitwell High Street. Only a small amount of rain is forecast over the next five days. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce by 20/02/2026. Minor impacts are likely to persist over the next five days.
We are checking rivers for blockages .
Activate any flood protection products you may have , including in Alverstone.
