long, thin, white, trumpet-shaped flowers with shallow, rounded, spreading lobes. stamens with white anthers and thin filaments extend even further beyond the flowers' mouths. these blossoms seem precariously set in disproportionately small green calyces, in a very spacious terminal panicle. white trumpet-shaped flowers with five rounded, spreading lobes. three stamens with white anthers and thin filaments are strongly exserted from the mouth of each flower. a largeflower valerian growing among thick understory vegetation in a heavily shaded bottomland forest. its stem bears opposite pairs of multifoliate leaves and terminates in a very loose panicle of long, thin, trumpet-like white flowers.

Tubular pink-white flowers occur in clusters at top of stems in spring and look quite elegant. In nature, plant may be found in moist, well-drained soil adjacent to waterways. A good candidate to place where invasive exotic Garlic mustard has been removed. By Shawn Pogacnik

The Lyonia Garden Keepers have been hard at work, and the results are in beautiful blooms like this one of the Largeflower False Rosemary (Conradina grandiflora). This wildflower is endemic to Florida and is a state-threatened species like many other Conradina species.
