Morus Gobe - laverbread connoisseur and shoreline bard. While known for his forlorn demeanour (often channeled through his free verse poetry) he’s guaranteed to cheer up when presented with a hearty portion of laverbread or the occasional choc-ice.

Apparently it's national laverbread day. I grew up having laverbread with bacon and egg (but not every weekend.) It's harder to find these days. The laverbread at Swansea market is still very good but stuff at Cardiff market is watery. The tins are expensive but better.

This is absolutely a correct opinion.

Mind you, both cheese and laverbread are v versatile. Laverbread, cockles and bacon is yum
It sounds like something dreamt up for the Welsh tourist board but a cheese béchamel flavoured with leek and laverbread is just astoundingly good. And you can freeze it.
