is there literally any evidence that 1) LAX is being used to send military weaponary to Israel on a regular basis and 2) the mayor of the city of Los Angeles has any ability to influence the cargo accepted at LAX

Anyway referring to it as "widespread" when it was one conspiracy that got a lot of money because of lax COVID-era controls—similarly to how there was a lot of PPP fraud—is just separately malpractice.

yeah so this kind of shit is exactly what's so bad about the discourse taking place mostly on twitter. none of these things are true. 'real political parties' don't ratfuck their own nominees days before an election and Nithya isn't sending weapons to Israel via LAX, nor does *anyone* support that.

Basically everything that can’t be explained by misogyny, racism, or Ronald Reagan can be explained by lax antitrust enforcement.
My working thesis is that it’s largely indicative of economic instability more generally. Less antitrust enforcement means there are fewer and bigger super high dollar companies. But each one can only have on general counsel, so you end up with fewer relationship partners controlling bigger books
In all seriousness, if one rainmaker can kneecap an entire Big Law firm, something is amiss. Surely.

OTOH they are also talking about terrible labour practices at the V&A, and union organising in the arts industry, so maybe the kids are alright (if alarming lax on online privacy apparently)

WTF has happened to the NY Times?

They know the administration is breaking the law. But, yet, they can't bring themselves to just say it.

And what, on earth does "being lax about complying" with a federal law even mean???

Shameful.
