There was a real hot second, and I mean second, that people thought Lethwei would be the next big thing. I think having it's major foreign star being a right wing conspiracy guy, and they fighter revive rule really do hold it back from being a bigger thing.

Sambo, Kudo, Lethwei, and old Vale Tudo videos are a wonderful resource in watching practical applications of headbutts and/or groin strikes.
I've found that the best way to use groin strikes, headbutts, and eye gouges is by integrating them into your Muay Thai clinch. This way you can alternate between them and your knee and elbow strikes to keep your opponent guessing and take away positions that are normally safe.
🧵 The Muay Thai clinch is a great technique to use in either the ring or the street. Clinching refers to grappling while standing where you control the person's movement and posture. Unlike wrestling where the goal is getting a takedown, in Muay Thai the goal is to land strikes or sweeps.

I know when the civil war broke out that it put a hold on a lot of Lethwei events in Myanmar, so I don't know if it kind of killed that too. I remember the Lethwei org that UFC signed to Fight Pass and they didn't survive COVID, if I remember correctly.
