Whilst my wife was lake swimming, explored Leybourne Lakes CP. Highlights were a lifer in Lesser Emperor (the blue saddle very visible) & a Kingfisher. A Migrant Hawker also added to the year list. A couple of Blackcaps heard. 2

Lovely solo #parkrun today, Leybourne Lakes. A buggy malfunction meant I had to start 25 minutes late and endeavoured to catch up the tailwalkers in time for a token. Good fun as a one off.

Finished the day at New Hythe & Leybourne Lakes CP with many familiar Kent birders. The 2 Hooded Mergansers were great to see and a Water Rail gave great scope views behind the diving sawbills. 5 Fulvous Whistling Ducks also noted on the walk 😁.
