We did a migration to open source at one of my previous jobs. That was more than 20 years ago. More than 200 seats.

F Microsoft and F the goat they rode to town on. Alternatives have been around for awhile and they keep getting better.

Try LibreOffice - it's open source, cross-platform, and should work.

Plus, no AI involved whatsoever.

We often talk about large-scale migrations to #LibreOffice, such as in the Austrian Military. But many small businesses are switching away from Microsoft, Google and other tech giants too: blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2026/11... #foss #opensource #freesoftware

See how easy that is?

LibreOffice does not recognise "seize." Lads, I'm not using "seise" and "seisin" instead, that would be just wrong.

Good question.

LibreOffice, the office suite, is freely available for all platforms.

There may be a version of Linux that runs on your hardware.
