My perfectionist voice is VERY loud these days and I’m sick of it. Everything I make is ugly to me anyways…why not make it ugly on purpose?

Very messy lettering stamps that say “perfection is oppression”. The ink is smeared in a few places and the letters aren’t aligned (I’m taking a lot of inspo from zines these days). Made using a Pfeil linocutter, pink pearl erasers, and Ranger Archival Ink.

More tiny #linocuts! I think I can rightly call this an obsession.

Glaub ich besorg mir heute noch günstig so ein Linocutter. Mit Dreml hab ich weniger Probleme, bin von Fabrikation und Industrie einiges gewöhnt. Da ist dieses kleine Teil ein Witz. Aber es ist halt nicht optimal, denn das Gummi franst aus. Dann ewig nachbearbeiten. War auch nur Experiment.

Übe mit dem ersten Exemplar ein bisschen, um auch ohne Spezialwerkzeug, also ohne einen gebogenen Linocutter gute klare Linien zu bekommen. Frische Cuttermesser Klinge und Dreml mit Gravuraufsatz ist vielversprechend. Brauche aber noch mehr Übung.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Fred and I'm an illustrator and linocutter. I work in gouache and watercolour, ink and digital. I've been trying to improve recently and try out new techniques to broaden my horizons ☺️
