Public libraries within walking distance are one of the best things about living in a big city.

Don’t forget to get a library card. Crazy times we’re living in…

Every living president showed up for Barack Obama’s presidential library opening.

Meanwhile, the Swamp Creature was busy eating algae with RFK Jr. at his toxic reflecting pool.

Thank you for your kindness, your library joy, for helping me stay, for encouraging this librarian to try my best to love this silly little thing called life 💚

Amongst the anxiety, worry, grief, pain, the lack of hope… I hope you choose to try again each & every day ❤️‍🩹🥰

All the library love 💛

Did it take me 8+ years of living here before I finally went and got library card at my public library? Yes.

Do I finally have a library card now? Also yes. 📚

Karl Marx did not spend ten years living in the British Library for the modern Left to negatively polarize itself against the concept of graphs.
Now I've read the critiques of that figure. It's basically bullshit. But liberal apologists want us to think those graphs can tell us our lives are not in the fucking pits. Or they'll say that anyone suffering is an outlier.

Which is insidious.

An introverts dream life:

- a loving partner who understands their need for alone time
- living in a cozy cabin by nature
- having a personal library filled with books
- working from home
- minimal social obligations

"Learn how to use AI in every way shape and form you can. It is a living library"

This is horrible advice.

You MUST watch this exchange from today’s Tx House debate on anti-library HB3225.

“This is about your desire to make sure that children have access to sexually explicit materials,” says the bill’s author.

“Rep Alders, do you know what I have done for a living?” Says @voteannjohnson.bsky.social

living on top of a library would be awesome

When I talk to kids today and they ask me what I would do if I were 12 today, my answer is always the same, read books and learn how to use AI in every way shape and form you can. It is a living library that gives you responses and can help no matter who you are or where you live.

The library dragon. A character from my story that I’m working on. He’s a blind dragon living beneath the library where the protagonist lives.

I gave my coworkers valentines and they (or the public library patrons) gave me another virus. Are we having fun living with Covid yet?

I feel like living in a neighborhood very close to a library is a flex. Like being walking distance to the library feels like wealth to me.

Can you imagine living upstairs from a library?

I don't publicly mourn celebrity passings. Feels too much like making it about me.

That said, Parton's passing represents the loss of our single most important living public library advocate. The library in my medium-sized town is around 4,000x better because of her Imagination Library initiative.
