Always interesting to see a slime-mould. I'm told that this is Trichia maylanii. The two views show the sporangia (orange ball-on-stick structures) before & after they have ripened & shed their spores. Llanymynech Rocks, last Weds.

The canal surface is like a mirror today. Did a circular walk up to Llanymynech and back. Bulrush seeds bursting and drifting on the light breeze to carpet the canal and towpath in what looks like soft downy feathers.

Near Ogo's Hole, Llanymynech, there is a hollow once known to Locals as 'The Devil's footstep.' Sadly, any folklore associated with the name has been forgotten or hidden by Owd Scratch Himself ✨️
