BTW, speaking of Space Brothers, Lostman is voiced by Hiroaki Hirata, who voiced Mutta Nanba in Space Brothers, so that was quite something.

It's based off of a Big Comic Superior manga from 2000, so I shouldn't be too shocked, but the handling of the female characters here, Goro being a playboy, and Lostman needing to get laid before he can do certain things, just to name a few things, yikes. Feels out of place.

Sad to hear that Shinichiro Sato, the drummer of "The Pillows" has passed away.
When I think of Sato, I think of "Funny Bunny", one of their best songs. But I also think about cornering him and Manabe outside Pianos in NYC and asking them to play Swanky Street at their next show.
They did.

Please Mr. Lostman (1997):
While still full of mellow songs, this album also feels like a fond farewell to that. 280 characters don't do this album justice. A near-perfect in-between as they transitioned from their older material to the "holy trinity" that would form FLCL's soundtrack.
