Ok so I'm reading a bit more about Richard Lovelace and dl'd the Gutenberg.org ebook of his Lucasta. The text of which comes from a 19th cen. collection edited by one W Carew Hazlitt (not the essayist William Hazlitt!) and the opening notes are catty as hell.
