I forgot about "Mrs Maisel". I know in real life we keep making the same mistakes over & over but that's why fiction should be different.
It's frustrating that creators of TV understand that the characters should be more beautiful than everyday people but not that they should be more interesting

Mrs Maisel had the same problem (though by the end of season 1 I already knew where it was heading) because the Palladinos think smart women are monsters. It’s misogyny all the way down with them.

Hmm ... I'll see if I can find it. I liked him so much on Maisel that I tried to find other things he'd done, but didn't have much luck.

Whatever happened to Luke Kirby? So brilliant in Mrs. Maisel! I saw him in a fairly awful movie with Michelle Williams and a silly one called, "Mambo Italiano." He was funny in "Slings and Arrows." Of course, I could just be out of touch. Maybe he's been in popular shows and I've just not noticed.

Another important fun fact is my younger brother was Palmer Witherspoon in THE MARVELOUS MRS MAISEL and Abe (The Tony Shalhoub) said he looked like a pole vaulter in Triumph of the Will LMAOOOOO. A burn I wish I'd thought of. @joeystromberg.bsky.social

An important Bijan Robinson fact is that I asked him at his draft what show he was binge watching and he said THE MARVELOUS MS MAISEL. I think of this often.

I found it quite good and was disappointed they didn't do another season. Not Maisel good, but still.
