Wasn't the teacher a fine stitcher? I mean make a back stitch every few running stitches and after turning a 90° corner. I aspire to her level of attention to detail.

I never understood the point of the corner bookmark. Seems like you'd lose it too easy. But this one I made from #makingzen is super cute and it works great in my watercolor sketchbook. This is the cover of the Australian piano hinge watercolor sketchbook I made.

When I went to make another #makingzen project, I found I already had a sort of Yunomi pin cushion: a Batman doll in a ceramic vase. I've saved Batman (how many people can say that) and moved the pins to the new cushion. Though fear for him still as he is great for making the woven-web sea urchins.

I learned this bag from #makingzen where the pattern uses an 8-inch square. But I realized bandanas are also square.... And I have so many! This one was a freebie left at the library years ago for Kulshan Brewery's Kitten Mitten ale. And now it is a small art bag.

I just love how this poppy flower is pieced together with the running stitch. I had no idea what to do with it and this popped out.
