#mamograms
Yup. It's so that we can get prostate exams later in life. So what about our 3 yearly mamograms then? Ah, they can be booked in separately.

So why not log us as female, have the mamograms and then book in the prostate exam separately?

Nah, can't do that. Transphobic NHS to the core.

My little discord chat has discussed the statistics of Women Who Get Regular Mamograms But Die Because Of Falling*
*(or something related to not having good muscle mass and bone density)

This is a very good PSA, thank you

I'm so sorry :(
I'm located in NC,saw in the local news that there was a clinic under investigation for providing wrong results for mamograms for years...

I am a middle aged woman with, tbqh, tig ol bitties. In the near future I will be in the age range where I really should have regular mamograms but because of the fuckass way the NHS tracks this stuff, I won't receive reminders for it like a cis woman would.

Which would include contraceptives, as well. Mamograms.

Saw my new primary care doc for the first time today, for a physical

she did a decent job not reacting one way or the other to hearing that I'm pursuing gender affirming surgeries

kinda funny when she asked if I've been on hormones, like . . . c'mon look at me

also "do . . . you need mamograms?"

"Schedule Your Squish" is an absolute banger of a marketing tag for mamograms.

I'm forever grateful to a colleague who practically bullied me to sign up for mamograms. They found a lump on my second one. Treatment all done fast and no recurrence. She probably saved my life

Men should be accountable for every unwanted pregnancy. Birth control should be covered by all insurance like annual mamograms.
Stop blaming women for your irresponsible sexual behavior!

Oh hell, mamograms.

Family legend is, to practice for a mammogram, go out to the garage and park a car on you boob.

Please make sure you get "enhanced" mamograms. I had one in early June. It found my cancer so early it was a zero on the 1-4 scale! I had a short outpatient surgery a week later. I'm now cancer free taking one hormone blocker pill daily. Doc says chances of it returning are negligible.

As a resident in Costa Rica I pay $180 a month to the national healthcare system (the highest rate). All my prescription meds are covered 100%, mamograms, colonoscope, emergency treatment, basic dental. And my private doctors normally cost $40 to $80 per visit. Affordable and great private care.

If that's the story I think it was, it wasn't even detecting cancer. It was able to determine where the mamograms were being taken via stuff not visible to a human eye, knew which rooms had a higher rate of diagnosed cancers, and then based its diagnoses off where the imaging was done.

Naki Kito’s English dub voice is giving me flashbacks to JIZ AND THE MAMOGRAMS

I should have known that this case came out of the Fifth Circuit. A loss will affect a lot more than mamograms; it'll affect every preventive service (including vaccines) that insurers are required to pay for. We can only hope that sanity reigns.

Now that I am older - MAMOGRAMS do suck! And I found out that an MRI can actually be more accurate
Can you just imagine where medical research on women’s health would be?

We know #BreastCancer #research -- and #mamograms -- are critical.

Yet the regime is cutting #NationalCancerInstitute funding by more than 37% & requiring a portion of what is left to go to AI-projects that benefit rich tech CEOs (CNN)

Everyone I knew went to PP for healthcare. From paps to birth control, to mamograms. Wasn't even about $, we just knew they were trustworthy.

I don't know how specifically it's used for waiting lists, but I know it can be used to look at mamograms for example and it's as good as a human.

Prof Erika Denton complains that AI is tech driven so that mamograms are analysed in depth every time rather than merely checked to look for changes since the previous one. She concludes that more clinical input is required.
