The entire board, who not only watched their chair and senior management take this course of action, but also signed off on who knows how many millions in legal fees, should quit in embarassment.
I hope the Lattouf decision gives other board members decision makers around the country serious pause in the future.
Political opinions are still legal in this country. Facts and criticism about horrific human rights violations should be supported, not punished.

This happens in every entertainment industry. The owner/management types say “You get X% of revenue!” and then they skim off the top — fees and deductions and provisions and expenses — so the “revenue” is waaaaaaay less than, you know, “the amount of money we made.”
Major League Baseball says it wants to share revenues with players “50-50.”The union says that’s “misleading propaganda” and “deception.”

The really big question at the heart of this: 50-50 … of what?

How MLB wants to define revenue:

The revenue split is a key point of contention in cap leagues like the NBA and NHL. MLB is just now grappling with the particulars.

And while you're making $20M a year guaranteed management fees from your Deep Tech Fund #1, you gotta keep the hype going on those Fund 1 companies while you're raising Fund 2, and so on.

Which explains the never-ending bullshit and hype. $10M of a $50M B series is spent marketing and buying press.

I'm a former bank teller and finance reporter. Many banks offer discounts on plan fees for college students and with a minimum balance for a basic chequing acct. Most management companies require bank account statements for a lease application. Please do not buy crypto as your main form of savings.
Young men don't open bank accounts. They are too expensive. They download coin base or Robinhood app and buy crypto. That's their savings

If one party pushes that number higher. They vote for em. Gensler/Biden caused those savings to go down. The demo with the biggest change was young men
This is legit the dumbest thing I've ever seen him say
