I had a great time talking to students on the Mankato State and Gustavus campuses yesterday! I heard a lot of frustration from students about just how expensive it is to be a student, especially with the cost of rent and on-campus housing.

Nicollet expected to issue $11.5M senior-housing refunding notes for Vista Prairie; North Mankato asked to call a hearing
City staff and bond counsel asked the North Mankato Council to call a public hearing on Nov. 16 for 'host approval' and consent to Nicollet issuing up to $11.5 million in revenue refunding notes to finance and refinance improvements at Vista Prairie at North Pointe. Counsel says the obligations would not be a charge on North Mankato's general taxing power.
