Hurrah! Finally finished the first draft of book Chapter 5 'The Paranoid Style in American Gaming', covering Paranoia, The Price of Freedom, Year of the Phoenix, Freedom Fighters, and Delta Force. Now if only I can get another chapter done before the start of the teaching semester!

The last ms dated to the Early Hellenistic Period in DJD is 6Q2 (6QPaleoLeviticus), a single fragment with text from Lv. 8:12–13. It is also written in the paleo-Hebrew script. There is a nice big lower margin visible, but other than that we know very little about this mansucript.

Important tip about working with critique partners: after you send a mansucript out to your beta reader or critique partner, do NOT succumb to the temptation of looking it over again while you wait for feedback. You WILL see millions of little mistakes that you didn't catch before you sent it!

An excellent companion to Trammell's book is Stephen J. Scott-Bottoms' book on the troubling legacy of experimental roleplaying experiments, with particular attention paid to the the Stanford prison study. I was privileged to be an anonymous reader of the mansucript.

Wonderful exhibition of St Gallen manuscripts at National Museum initiated by former professor of mine in Early Irish History (Celtic Studies). Beautifully arranged, Irish language goes first, English second (maith sibh!), inked calligraphy from oak gall as black as it was in 7th century!

I think i'd be a bit annoyed with one sentence after a full request (which I did get years ago, the last time I queried a very different novel before I knew anything about publishing and had a mansucript that was tbh in no way ready to be sent out), but a quick form for a query i think is fine
