BROOO there’s like sooo many problems with both socially outcasting masuclinity but also putting it on a pedestal where if you’re not “perfectly masc” or actually trying to be more masc it’s considered taboo somehow. it’s genuinely so odd and i think unfortunately comes from female dominated spaces

masuclinity can be punishing and terrible for everyone involved but it can also be very freeing. the same goes for femininity. it’s less about destroying either and more choosing which you align with more, or fall inbetween

As someone with a marketing background I think the @democrats.org need to adopt the following strategies: reclaim masuclinity through WWII antifascist nostalgia/imagery. Push the point that blue states essentially subsidize red states which points to their policy failures and leverage of blue states

34: Popular memory gets Squall and Cloud backwards except insofar as both are struggling with masuclinity. Squall's not depressed or "emo," he's got abandonment & alienation issues. Cloud *is* depressed, likely clinically so, & his being still depressed in Advent Children is actually interesting.
