In case you missed it last weekend, here's a round-up blog post I did at the end of #mathober with all my zines: https://aperiodical.com/2026/11/mathober-2026-my-month-of-maths-zines/ (I've now gone almost a whole week without making a zine and I'm doing ok, if you were wondering.)

Congrats on finishing Mathober! The Rado graph is a lovely one to close on, so much going on with so few lines.

Mathober Day 31 - Existential Closure

The infinite Rado graph is existentially closed, meaning that if we select nodes that we what to be connected and nodes that we don't want to be connected, some node will satisfies the condition.

Had never heard of the Two Triangles Theorem (#mathober 29). So off to @geogebra.org www.geogebra.org/m/bkznbcz6
Two Triangles Theorem
A fascinating little theorem about triangles on a parabola.

Mathober Day 29 - Two Triangle Theorem

The 2 Triangle Theorem states that when 3 points on a parabola form a triangle, the tangents at those points intersect to form a 2nd triangle whose area is 1/2 that of the original triangle.

Today's #mathober prompt is SPHEROIDAL WAVE FUNCTION, which is slightly outside of my (quite pure) maths wheelhouse, but I think I've joined some dots and this is all roughly how it works? PDF: https://katiesteckles.co.uk/mo30

The final prompt for #mathober is EXISTENTIAL CLOSURE, and I ain't reading all that, but I'm happy for u tho, or sorry that happened, and here's a maths zine I made about something else. PDF: https://katiesteckles.co.uk/mo31

Mathober Day 28 - Conic Double Point

A conic double point is a singularity on a surface where the geometry locally resembles the tip of a cone. A simple example is the double cone defined by x² + z² = y².

Today's #mathober zine is about CONIC DOUBLE POINT, and I really didn't fancy drawing any of these by hand so I've used my little printer a lot! PDF: https://katiesteckles.co.uk/mo28

Mathober Day 27 - Indefinite Quadratic

An indefinite quadratic produces both positive and negative values. In two dimensions, it is indefinite when its discriminant, b^2-4ac, is positive, and its nonzero level curves form hyperbolas.
