#MaxEffort here on this first time trying #ZercherSquats, paused. Managed 245, 275, and 295, then backdowns of 225x2x5. Didn't really figure out the breathing very well until the backdowns. Also tried Zercher goodmornings, but I'm not so sure about the form yet.

#MaxEffort #pinSquats today for 295, 315, and finally got to that 330 PR, though it was pretty iffy from 315's slowdown and 330 getting a bit rattled on the pins. Then it was 250x2x5 for the backdowns.

Some good momentum building on this #MaxEffort #deadlift work. So damned glad added an extra variation to the rotation. Here we've got 395, 415, and the 435 PR. Then it's a 345x5 backdown.

Thinking 445 is well within my grasp for next time (after Thanksgiving).

More #RepsForMishima on this #MaxEffort #JMpress off the pins, here for 125, 135, a 150 PR, then the 155 PR, both of which are the most weight I've touched on the movement in any variation or standard. Then it was backdowns of 120x8 and then 6.

#MaxEffort #HackenschmidtSquats for 65, 75, a PR of 80, and then another for 85, because fuck you, that's why. Then it was 65x2x8 on the backdowns.

Quite the great leap forward here. I think cracking 95 by year's end may well be in the cards.

Been looking Forward to this addition of #MaxEffort #snatchGripDeadlift to my #deadlift max rotation. Hadn't done this variation since December, but brought it back in order to extend the rotation asynchronously to six weeks. This is 295, 325, and 355 with a backdown of 275.

This #MaxEffort #ringHSPU session seemed unreasonably difficult at first: my warmup single at -0.5" almost didn't even start, and -1.5 actually didn't until I thought to move rings out, presumably to where they had been before. We'll see if that ring position helps to get things moving again.

#MaxEffort #closeGripBench for 195, 215, 225, and that 240 PR, which just so happens to exceed my competition best #benchPress (with my competition grip width, of course), and then my submax backdown of 185x2x5. That's three PRs on this variation inside of three months, averaging 5lb/month.
September 13, 2025 at 6:06 PM
First #MaxEffort #deadlift after beginning the five week asynchronous deadmax rotation. Shown is 335, 385, 415, and that 430 PR which not only exceeds my session best and official competition best, but matches my unofficial competition best with way less grind than I managed on the platform.

Down in the dumps with all my pressing work (bench and OHP) which I think comes down to "shouldering" too much volume, owing to my anthropometry.

This #MaxEffort #BTNpress wasn't so bad though, here for 95, 105, a failed 115 PR, and then a 110 salvage. Backdowns for 85x2x10 was at least improvement
November 30, 2025 at 10:40 PM
#MaxEffort #AndersonFrontSquat, here for 205, 215, and the 225 PR, and backdowns of 175x2x5. Then we've got snatch-grip #highPulls for 175x10 and 11. Following this up with Nordic curls and reverse Nordic mobility (trying to get used to seiza/hero-pose positioning in order to do the full shebang).
November 29, 2025 at 12:12 AM
#MaxEffort #ringHSPU here, this time performing them top-down for a change of pace (like a pin press rather than dead): warmups from +1" and 0", then the PR of -2"x4. I did attempt that depth bottom-up but still couldn't quite manage, at least after that 4 rep set. I did manage a BW+5x1 PR, though.
February 2, 2026 at 11:44 PM
This #MaxEffort #seatedPress has been one tough nut to crack (particularly with sore traps from those high pulls a couple days ago), so I've decided upon the more patient approach by making the backdowns more specific to driving up that max. Now it's submax sets of 5 with each rep dead from the pins
November 2, 2025 at 5:09 PM
#MaxEffort #BTNpress for 95, 105, and the 110 salvage match after two failures of 115. Looking like I'll have to micro-load going forward. Then backdowns of 80x12 and 11 reps, which is progress, at least.
September 4, 2026 at 12:18 AM
#MaxEffort #LarsenDeadBench for 205, 215, and a failure to lock 230 followed by a second fail at the same weight. Not too surprising due to my job slinging sheet metal in a hot factory all summer and an unintentional cut. Pulled out the stops on backdowns though and PRed 160x10 and 11 reps.
August 22, 2026 at 10:11 PM
#MaxEffort #JMpress for 185, 195, and the 205 PR. Then backdowns for the 155x8 PR and then 7.

Yesterday's #MaxEffort #strictCurls for 85, 95, and 105 (will go for the 110 PR next time). Then it was a backdow 75x9 PR and then 8.
June 23, 2026 at 4:36 PM
Yesterday's #MaxEffort #LarsenDeadBench for 205, 215, a 230 miss, and a 225 salvage. Then backdowns of 170x2x5.
