P.S. I am cheap as fuck and know how to throw elbows when the ref isn’t looking, by which I mean speaking softly, practicing with integrity, and adding in an MCRA counterclaim that Jimmy School-in-Cambridge will lack the local knowledge to understand or defend.

In Massachusetts, not fully true. Conduct that amounts to “threats, intimidation or coercion” to chill an exercise of rights can be a violation of the MCRA: additionally, “civil conspiracy” can be a great gap-filler where a group exerts leverage they wouldn’t have individually.
This is not true and you don’t want it to be true. Encouraging boycotts is free speech and protected by the First Amendment. It is also very important that that be the case.
Macklemore can sue Robert Kraft for Tortious Interference for economic harm and I hope he does. Discovery would be fun: "Which other stadium owners did you talk to?" and "We need all related emails, text messages and contracts between you and them and you and Sheeran and Sheeran's team."

And it was cool enough! Because the MCRA is cool! The MCRA is a fantastic tool for the times we are in, where exercises of rights are threatened in ways that don’t fit the traditional “civil rights litigation” framework.

Also, there's at least one judge in the D. MA who's reasoned, maybe, perhaps, for the right facts, the FTCA sovereign immunity waiver might permit an MCRA claim against the United States, directly, intstead of dicking around with personal capacity suits.
