CBS News exit polling shows Trump at just 38% job approval, the lowest rating for a sitting president in any midterm election since CBS began tracking the measure in 2006.

—Kentucky: the measure that'd restrict a governor's pardon powers

—Louisiana: definitely this DA race in Ouachita Parish (boltsmag.org/prosecutor-o...)

—Maine: the odd race to be the DA of Portland, or a measure to ban Flock in a small town
November 3, 2026 at 4:13 AM
—Vermont: measure to setup a constitutional right to collective bargaining

—Virginia: the measure to abolish lifetime disenfranchisement

—Washington: too many, sorry. i'll go with measures targeting trans students & repealing millionaire's tax, & how majority of supreme court is at stake at once.

This absolutely made me cry.

It's an absolutely devastating way to measure the passage of time.

November 4, 2026 at 1:00 AM
—Florida: there's so much at local level here. to get a school board on here, I'll pick the race to replace Bridget Ziegler.

—Georgia: Dems could flip state's Public Service Commission

—Hawaii: the local measure in Honolulu to restrict cooperation with ICE

—Idaho: the abortion rights measure
November 3, 2026 at 4:07 AM
—Washington, D.C.: measure banning foie gras

—West Virginia: mayor of Charleston

—Wisconsin: to go local (rather than cite the trifecta question), the sheriff races in Winnebago and Sauk given ICE stakes (boltsmag.org/wisconsin-sh...)

—Wyoming: the measure targeting property taxes

Voted NO on this today. I found it very odious that they thought to pair reversing our last ballot measure assuring abortion rights with this anti-trans measure.
While you're waiting for results, here's our thread on MO:

Trans rights are on the ballot in Missouri w/ Amendment 3.

This nasty amendment to the state constitution links banning youth treatments for gender dysphoria with an abortion ban, reversing a constitutional right to reproductive healthcare passed by voters in 2024.

Californians, don't get duped by Prop 38!

It would siphon billions in taxpayer funds to an unproven "health research" institute backed by the same billionaires who put this measure on the ballot — including notorious junk bond king Michael Milken.

Vote NO!

When I was 18 years old, I voted in a local election with a ballot measure that was decided by one vote. My vote.

Every vote counts.
There will likely be a race today -- maybe more than one -- that's decided by a handful of votes, perhaps even just one.

We don't know where it will be, but it might be your district. Act like it.

california state measure 40-45
i love that every election in america, in addition to voting for representation like normal, features like 10 questions worded exactly like this where if you guess wrong someone loses rights or childcare or public transport
November 3, 2026 at 5:12 PM
—Rhode Island: Chariho School board, site of confrontations over inclusive policies (a BlueSky user flagged this one to me!)

—South Carolina: Charleston's measure to fund public transit & transportation

—South Dakota: the measure to raise the bar on direct democracy (boltsmag.org/measures-to-...)

If Democrats do win big, the measure of the next two years is how much they are able and willing to lower the boom on Musk, Miller, Hegseth, and Kennedy
New, from me: Will election day be accountability day for Musk? Or will he succeed in simply buying his way out of trouble again?
I lay out the case for why, and how Dems should aggressively use oversight powers to subpoena Musk and DOGE. 🧵

Politicizing the DOJ to interfere in a democratic election is a high crime by any measure

November 3, 2026 at 3:17 AM
