I love Melaque. The Mexican people are the best! I noticed Canadian flags on of those sail boats, 2,300 miles down the coast from Vancouver. Not being a sailor, that distance really impresses me.

Several municipalities in Jalisco report to narco blockades. Incidents have been reported in Tecolotlán, Tapalpa, Ojo de Agua, Linda Vista, Ayutla, Talpa, the Melaque junction, El Tuito, and along the highway to Morelia, among other locations such as Tabachines area in Zapopan.

a couple years back, a marlin was in the shallows at a local beach near Melaque. Every comment was "it's a shark, look at the fin", and I'm like... it's a Marlin..look at the dorsal fin, the sickle tail and oh.. the. half meter spike on it's nose...
and still got 50 people wanting to argue with me
