Patchwork cat #CameronButtonUp finished! I had enough cat fabric left over to make half a shirt, and I combined it with (way cheaper) black. Particularly pleased with the dots of colour the buttons make.

Apparently MeMadeMay really burned me out on posting. I finally finished my 3 test knits and can work on projects that I can show again. Went back to Drops of Jupiter. Still thinking the dark teal is too dark, but I had decision paralysis so decided to keep knitting for now. #knitsky

All the makes I’ve ever made with any type of textile seem so ridiculous in light of this. Little late for #MeMadeMay but this little yellow bird wins it hands down(I know I know it isn’t a competition -but still).
In Sri Lanka, the Baya Weaver (Ploceus philippinus)is a common, gregarious bird famous for constructing intricate, hanging, retort-shaped nests out of wild grasses, palm fronds, and leaves.

All the makes I’ve ever made with any type of textile seem so ridiculous in light of this. Little late for #MeMadeMay but this little yellow bird wins it hands down(I know I know it isn’t a competition -but still).

Thanks! 😊 It still needs blocking, but it is finished! Even the ends are woven in... I was afraid I wouldn't make it for #memademay, but I finished it last night just in time. 😜

I finally figured out which pattern it was when I found these photos from JUNE OF 2024 (that’s old!). These photos showed the pattern pieces! Mystery solved! McCalls 4261, a pattern released in 2004! This isn’t much of a surprise to me since I have used this pattern many, many times!

Since it's the last day of #memademay for 2026 I'm claiming this little tiny bit of sewing that gave me an utterly fabulous new pair of vintage Martex cherry print kitchen tea towels. I just hemmed the top & bottom and added little green hanger loops.

It's the final day of #MeMadeMay! Obviously I did not succeed in my goal of posting every day (though I did wear me-made most days). But not only did I succeed in making Pietra Pants, I also made these Pietra shorts! Finished literally this morning. So I'm calling that a win.
