This was a tough one. So it’s a pretty loose interpretation. I don’t hate it. see the Toulouse Lautrec inspiration.

#mermay day 25! I had some color issues with this one. And cuteness issues. Somehow this just wasn’t as cute as I wanted it to be and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to make it better. I went through a bunch of faces and eye and placements.

Mermay Day 19-OK this was tough. And I’ll admit this one is filed under…it’s done.
Not sure where the rainbow came from or why the tiny hat…the whole thing is just a big question mark.

Mermay Day 20 (a couple of days behind still). I don’t love clowns and I think that comes through in this one. 😬

A WIP today.

I used Plants vs Zombies for inspiration and was reminded how hilarious a game it is.

I’ll be posting the finished version tomorrow!

Can you tell what the prompts are?

This is yet again a case of too many prompts shoved into one drawing 😆
Aside from the clutter there’s something I can’t put my finger on that makes it look incomplete/not cohesive/weird. If you have any ideas why let me know in the comments!

a truly mishmash visually. Some orange tentacles reaching in from the bottom and sides of the frame with an orange purrmaid with orange glasses is reading 20,000 Leages Under the Sea. Meanwhile, a turtle dressed as a royal english guard (i don’t know their proper name) with the tall fuzzy black hat is looking over her shoulder also reading the book. One of the tentacles is wrapped around the purrmaid’s tail fin while another reaches out to touch the book and yet another is holding a watch.
