Often, I'm the only geographer in the room, so my biggest challenge is translating methods to a lay audience that doesn't know spatial statistics / analytic methods. Teaching, however, is an entirely different matter, because I want the students to have a deeper, *applied* understanding.

Polling is funny. Those "margins of error" are nonsense given the sampling methods and skewed respondent pools, but it's broken in a way that partly captures something important: the credulous dolts who actually answer unsolicited calls, texts, emails, and popups really are the swing voters. 🫠
So anyway here goes, here's my thinking on the midterms:
