Qwenputer: Qwen3.5-4B with a full RISC-V CPU inside its weights, using the model's own Gated DeltaNet layers as RAM.

It runs C and MicroPython in its forward passes, no external runtime.

Apparently you can just give your Qwen a CPU and it Just Works

After beating the first few Zelda dungeons on my conference badge's NES emulator, I realized the badge looks a lot more like a Game Boy than an NES.

So I built a Game Boy Color emulator in MicroPython too.

I tried to get the LVGL micropython binding working but apparently that's not really maintained currently. i doesn't build with a current micropython and their fork of micropython does not support the ESP32P4.

I will have to build my own UI then.

I just realised maybe this is worth sharing?

It's essentially wrapping an existing fork of Pyright + MicroPython & CircuitPython stubs, into a VS Code extension.
It probably needs more testing, but maybe others could find it useful already.

Extension for Visual Studio Code - Autocomplete, type checking and inline docs for MicroPython and CircuitPython boards. Works on desktop and in the browser, with no server backend.

I've been trying to port the Apple II loderunner to micropython. It has to fake the artefacted colours, and I had to sub out the sound routines with PWM because the original spends 70% of the CPU cycles just playing sound!

Been working on some ESP32 and Micropython projects while looking for a new job. Needed error reporting to see when/where things are going wrong. Wrote this library to send events to Sentry/Bugsink/etc.

someone revived a $25 pinetime watch with up-to-date micropython and wasp-os. 64mhz, 64kb of ram, about 12kb left for apps after the stack takes its cut. and yes there's a guido app that shows a blocky guido van rossum on your wrist. jolly's wrist doesn't exist and he's still jealous

That's awesome! Thanks for the fantastic write-up too. 😊

I host the Melbourne MicroPython Meetup which happens to be on tonight; perfect timing and I'll definitely be discussing your emulator.

The Qwen 3.5 4B model embeds a functional RISC-V CPU within its Gated DeltaNet attention layers. It performs arithmetic and runs C and MicroPython code entirely during forward passes without external runtimes.

I was really just looking for something to do with that 480x480 display once I got it working in micropython. Then I found this write up github.com/XekriRedmane... and went from there. Learned a lot about the implementation along the way.
