Of all the schools on PPS's closure list, James John has the highest enrollment and highest % students in poverty and dual language. It's also Portland's first bike bus school street diversion pilot, a de facto park for downtown St Johns, adjacent to a public library and dense, midrise housing
Members of the Sabin, Irvington, & Beach communities should know I'm interested in getting that information public before any decision is made. Peninsula families should know I'm uncomfortable making a public school desert in Kenton (where I live).

IMO, closing James John should be off the table.

Watching Genz and GenAlpha make the same mistakes that I made as a teen and tween when it comes to fashion is killing me.
My dear young adults and teens, when you wear midrise and low-rise bottoms, you need to elongate your legs with color or heels or else you are going to look unbalanced and short.

drove past a whole bunch of midrise apartments in town that used to be just one old police station and it's a beautiful transformation of that property.

Shredding on frets taller than a midrise condo 🔥

The green area is supposed to be the sidewalk, but Tesla owners don't care, even in Taipei. Guy just pulled over and parked right in front of us. Got out of his car and walked away, but he did set his hazard lights on. See other pedestrians squeeze around his vehicle

Gotta upzone. Midrise condo communities with spare bedrooms for the grandkids/offices will turn Suffolk sapphire.

Right now the only place you could build all these hypothetically midrise affordable housing complexes, outside of urban cores, is traffic choked arterial roads. There is not a single party in Ontario, including the GPO and ONDP, that has a plan to actually address this.

Tomorrow's Ontario Land Tribunal hearing regarding 752 & 756 West 5th Street has been cancelled.

This is a site-specific appeal of the City's city-rise midrise zoning. #yhmcc

a new midrise, as well as a yigby building. In the Duke Street Small Area Plan they seem to be looking at reasonable targets. The majority of our Council wants new supply, and tries to approve things that enable development to pencil out.

Well I’m thinking the larger lots where big midrise apartments go. I didn’t want to get into the nuance of how many single stair buildings we can join—building code limitation.

Point is height IS restricted by FAR so we don’t need limits

I was playing some minecraft and building midrise housing so likely zoning codes.

I want proper bell bottoms if so, with the tight thigh to just at the knee before the flare, not just huge thighs, and with better waist options! A midrise waist is fine and a good option, not all pants with flares or boot cut need to be so high waisted, but we don't have to all be low rise either!
there was a brief bell bottoms revival in the 90s when I was in like third grade - I’m legit kinda surprised they haven’t come around again since.
Eh, I'm just waiting for the cyclical return of the dreaded Bell Bottoms.

Also, nice rig, I got a Grey Ghost MAV. Need new mag pouches my spray painted velcro pouches are ass. If I had the cash I'd get 6x Esstac midrise pouches, maybe I'd do a knockoff. I have snap shingles but they don't like PMAGs and my bungee pouch turned into spaghetti a while back

A midrise office building on prime land in Uptown Dallas has hit the market. Here's where it is and what it's valued at. bit.ly/47DZUq9

today in fun regional differences:
in denver i was using ~30kwh + 0.15 therms per day for peak summer energy:
- multifamily midrise building
- 2000s construction
- north-facing
~1200 sqft

in nyc it’s ~20kwh/day (no gas):
- multifamily high-rise building
- 2025 construction
- north-facing
<500 sqft

The Midrise of London?

I just scrolled through and they have so many midrise apartments that “maximized housing” too. I swear to god these boards are just public therapy sessions for them to vent their own professional frustration at someone else
