Can you spot everything that's wrong with this pc build :D? Cheat sheet: The ram is in single channel config The top pcie port is...gone Both the cpu cooler and case fan are backwards The PSU is upside down for a midtower build The pcie cover plates are missing There is a wifi card despite the mobo having wifi Cable management is fucked Not visible here: The sata ssd boot drive is 120 gigs and has no mounting hardware so it just flopped around inside

Someone at Quakecon attended the BYOC using this gorgeous creature.

Beautiful. There's no RGB lights or tempered glass cases that can approach the purity and sanctity of this build. 4:3 aspect ratio displays are God's Rectangles.
An ancient, eldritch being, this beige midtower PC with mismatched floppy drive bezel covers (both 3.5" and 5.25") do not match the yellowish cast of the case plastic. With Quake running on the display, a 4:3 aspect ratio 15" TFT nests within a tangle of wires and is flanked on either side by small black desktop speakers. An IBM mechanical keyboard blesses the table with its presence at 2025's Quakecon LAN party called BYOC.

Ellers er det stort set det samme setup jeg kører efter jeg skiftede til luftkøler på CPU'en. Også med en powercolor radeon (lidt ældre generation :p). Har dog et midtower kabinet med to 180 blæsere i front også.

Jag blev lite rörd idag när jag såg en felanmälan från en av jobbets kunder om att deras stordator slutat fungera i samband med strömavbrott. Exakt hur stor den datorn är känner jag inte till, men det måste vara lite mer än en midtower.

Back in 2021, I found a PC just dumped on the curb, i7, 16GB, broken graphics, and no drive. Cleaned it up, slapped a surplus 1080 and SSD in there, and it's been diligently doing science things ever since.

It warms my little heart to see it still puttering along.

Latter is still empty, since I stuck a 2.5-inch SSD in one of the upper slots.

The GreenMachine is mine (and I've had that case for 23 years!)
