They are amazing, but be warned ... There was an infamous one who lived along an urban walking path in Kansas City that used to swoop down and steal people's hats when they passed by. An avian predator and a committed collector of millenery.
Holy shit there's a great horned owl at my little park in Seattle! I've only seen one once before in the arboretum. Thanks, crows and jays, for the heads up.
