I think about the fact that when Senators or any other person in the government targets/talks about furrys it is ALWAYS under the guise of either homophobia or transphobia. The fact furry is "weird" to the average joe makes it easier to pin it on minatory groups like that and its DISGUISING
I know “haha funny furries” but that’s a sitting US Senator standing next to a podium labeled “Transgenderism Is A Mental Disease” so I’m not really sure all these cis people should be crackin’ up here

For a while there I kept chickens and ducks. The chickens kept up a mellow, clucky commentary and laid eggs. The ducks provided splishy splashy amusement and, to my surprise, defended the chickens from hawks. If a hawk showed up overhead, the ducks became minatory and very vertical.

I'm halfway through a third rewrite and, so far, it has the juice! One thing- I need to remove one use of the word "minatory," since it's in there twice and is really a once-a-book kind of word. Onward and upward!
