Leash in each hand
Camera in car
I thought at first “Whale?”
Then saw their heads
Two huge sea lions
Moving at an incredible speed
Diving and surfacing
I just watched
I saw a vast home
Lives I’ll never know
And felt a worried hope
As they vanished
Out of sight

I heard a pileated woodpecker across the water while I was wandering around a local pond. I waited and it flew across the water and landed on the back of a nearby tree, sat there for 30 seconds, and then took off. Next time!

Ever snap an amazing catch, only to have it come back bland, or badly framed, or fookin' blurry? Or, all of thee above? Dark hutch in a dark room with lights and reflections looked amazing. I didn't capture what I was seeing & and I certainly can't fix it. #pentax67 #filmphotography #missedshot #DOH

The cormorant is VERY out of focus, but the water looks kind of cool. 😂 #birds #missedshot 📷
