So MLSE fired Masai Ujiri and promoted his very first hire and right-hand man, Bobby Webster, to replace him. Good for Bobby, but also, I am reminded of when the Star reported Edward Rogers thought he could replace Masai with Bobby because Bobby was cheaper. Maybe that’s the new MLSE way.

Shane Doan and the Leafs have parted ways. His deal was expiring June 30. Sounds like a mutual decision. Doan was brought in by former Leafs GM Brad Treliving. Doan recently interviewed in Vancouver. We’ll see where Doan ends up but he’s now a free agent.

I'd kill to see that negotiation. Uncle Dennis, "we demand Tim Hortons". A flustered MLSE exec says he'd happily introduce their sponsorship people--"no we want to OWN TIM HORTONS." An MLSE accountant explains how that is "impossible" and "illegal". Kawhi is silently playing SimCity on his iPad.
