As someone who's been on and off a part of various modding scenes throughout my life I really gotta say I despise how much vibe coded slop and AI generated imagery is flooding my usual haunting grounds. Its really bad in the Vintage Story moddb as well which really blows ass.

The ModDB was already overflowing with mods (and for some reason the devs still have infinite scroll on there). Now there's so much slop because so many people believe they can make any mod they want by typing out a request to a bot, it's near impossible to find anything good or trustworthy. :(

Yea. Was actually looking for a couple multiplayer mods to play with a friend, they found this, and it's just.... All slop code. Even the uploader said so and people are defending it in the comments on moddb.
Though if its slopcode, 90% chance its malware too.

every now and then i used go to the moddb page for hl1 and 2 to see which evil mods there are that i could play in vc with friends but i stopped going to moddb at all a while ago cause the whole site is just a depressing wasteland of ai generated bullshit now
