Absolutely, my point (to the extent that I had one) is that this kind of thing isn't necessarily the modelmaker or the coaching staff or the managers doing anything wrong, it's just what good work from all concerned (except the players I guess) looks like in bad circumstances.

A lovely artisanal hand-crafted Zimmerit coating is now on the Tamiya Sturmtiger, #HistScaleModels. I've done most of the after-market accessory faff (tracks, photo-etched fenders, Zimmerit) now, so, with huge relief, I can relax, switch off my brain, and just follow the instructions in the kit.

It's also used in the model making world. It's the (usually) cylindrical parts where the plastic was injected into the molds. Modelers often use them to enhance other models.
