Friend brought up it primarily reminded them of Moebius as an inspiration and I can see it with going for loose lighter clothing and bubbly armor for an alien future; but most reminiscent, Moebius had a lack of fear in using the full gamut of color in his worlds whereas Concord is almost there but-

whats fucked up is we have a great example of how to translate moebius to photorealism & it's literally the biggest media franchise of the 20th century. people have discussed to *death* how they made that style work in star wars and concord somehow still beefed it.

yeah a lot of these aren't bad. Like clearly the big fat armored guy is inspired by Moebius, but Moebius could use striking dark lines and hatching to make it interesting to look at despite the color palettes he chose; but if you aren't going to do the strong dark lines, you can do much better color

Those fake yellow intestines go hand in hand with the Moebius aesthetic that the game really wanted to capture, so I found it incompetent, even stupid, to remove them.
