And finally, I think Akagi could be the Viper Tobi-Kadachi. It's small, agile, "furry", "cat"-eyed and reddish. It's perfect!

Also, I think Wakatoshi-kun could be a Diablos. It's an apex monster, big and powerful. But who's actually a herbivore that primarily feeds on cacti. And has bull horns. It's the cow dragon 🐄

Then, I think Aran-kun could be a Rathalos. Because both the red falcon and the Rath are flying red thingies. Also, it's a western style dragon, which could be a nod to Aran's western heritage.

So, in MH Rise, my favorite monster is Almudron, who is this grumpy long long mud grandpa. But I also like Mizutsune, who is this not as long soapy fox. And you know what that means? It's Oomimi-san and Kita-san.
