Venezuela is not a precedent. It's happened over and over again. The US and UK conspired to depose Mossadeq in Iran in 1953 for the same reason.
Overthrowing a dictator to plunder a country’s oil is just wrong. What precedent does this set? What’s next? HM Government surely needs to say so in plain terms.

Als het er op aan kwam waren praatjes over democratie altijd voor de bühne in Amerika. De VS betaalden een extreemrechtste coup tegen de democratisch gekozen Allende in Chili en tegen de democratisch gekozen Mossadeq in Iran. Dankzij die coup zitten we al bijna 50 jaar met de Mullahs opgescheept.
