I found the motherload yesterday. Finding a gluten free version of a toaster pastry is practically impossible & very expensive but worth it to feel like a ordinary human being again. Unfortunately, when I fixed one this morning the molten sugar coating burned my fingers to the bone. Live and learn.

This spring, I hit the motherload of all Black vulture gatherings (a "committee") when canoeing down the Colorado. They all were hanging out/roosting on an island formed by a large fork in the river. Many hundreds of birds—maybe even a thousand—took flight as I passed. I've never seen that before.
