SET1/MLL complexes control transcription independently of H3K4me3
Histone H3 lysine 4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) at gene promoters is thought to play a central role in gene transcription. H3K4 methylation is deposited by the SET1 (A/B) and MLL (1-4) multi-protein comp...

How to do differential expression with scRNAseq data? State of the art is "pseudo-bulk" analysis with RNA-seq methods like edgeR or DESeq2, where "cell type" is encoded as discrete categories. Biologically, discrete categories are not always the most appropriate concept.(1/3)

My Auntie adores Gene Pitney.

He also wrote He's A Rebel for The Crystals. Plus heaps more.

Lots of multi-tracked vocals & harmonies on this. 😍

Many areas of science, such as genetics, have found that causation is often multi-factorial: there’s no single gene for intelligence for example, but many different genes have an influence.

We are yet to learn this lesson in politics, still looking for the one weird trick other parties don’t know.
