Looks like a geophysics search pattern. Line spacing might he sufficient for Multibeam. Any UXO dump sides there, sunken vessels, submaribes?

We used a multibeam sonar to measure lake bathymetry and conduct repeat terminus scans. We found maximum lake depth of 200 m with a relatively flat floor, suggesting significant sediment infilling post retreat

Survey vessel Northern Storm is doing high resolution scans of cables that did not break, but where cable destroyer Yi Peng 3 did suspicious maneuvers the week before she broke the Baltic Sea cables.
The vessel has been active over both cable infra rich areas last year, but also other projects.

"So what" you might say. "That's TEN THOUSAND YEARS ago!" Well, 10,000 isn't really that long in geological time. And I suspect there are more slides to be discovered. We need complete multibeam sonar and seismic surveys of the entire west coast to really nail down the recurrence intervals.
