Also kinda interesting that the MX5 RF Club is nearly the exact same price as the Prelude. I don't really hear as many people complaining about the MX5 pricing.

A mate of mine had a Mk 1 MX5 with pop up headlights. If you kept switching the lights on and off they would go out of synch and the car could wink! 😉

Everyone should have a gigantic friend for comedy value! An old biker friend of my dad was a 7 footer, dude was like a cross between Santa and Hagrid, had to turn sideways to get through doors! Watching him try to get in a Mazda MX5 was one of the funniest things I've ever seen lol!

I remember the Scimitar squeaking a lot, Boxster felt solid and MG was decent. We had an MX5 NA and it had an additional brace behind the seats, which made a difference.

Makes sense to me. The trainees here (accountancy firm) drive stuff like BMW 330e's and Audis. I sound such an old fart when I tell them the money would be better off in a pension or paying down their mortgage :D

My dad had a Z3 2.2 while I owned my NA MX5. I borrowed the beemer for a weekend. My conclusion? The Zed sounded lovely and had a far comfier cabin, in design and ergonomics, but is absolutely a boulevard cruiser. The Mazda is clearly a driver’s car, and would be my choice.

I can't figure out the target market for the Prelude, but last time I checked ~50% of MX5 RF sales were automatics, so customers must be out there. Just not sure how many 🤔
